Judaism brings God into the home in a way that Christianity rarely does

A beautiful meditation from Anglican clergyman Giles Fraser – in some ways this chimes with my own experience, although usually we’re in the homes of other family members when celebrating Hanukkah and Passover.

For most Christians, church is where they encounter God. But my Israeli relatives have made my home a place where the sacred and profane meet I’m writing under the bedcovers, metaphorically speaking.
